Carpet Cleaning N19 Modern Slavery Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement is made by Carpet Cleaning N19 in respect of the financial year ending 31 December 2025. It sets out the steps we are taking to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business operations and supply chains.
Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy
Carpet Cleaning N19 has a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking, child labour, and any other form of exploitation. We are committed to conducting our business ethically, transparently, and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations relating to modern slavery.
All employees, contractors, and suppliers are expected to uphold this commitment and to act with integrity in all business dealings. We will not knowingly work with any party that participates in, or fails to take reasonable steps to prevent, modern slavery in its operations.
Our Business and Supply Chains
Carpet Cleaning N19 provides professional carpet and upholstery cleaning services. Our operations are primarily local, but our supply chains may extend nationally and internationally through the sourcing of equipment, cleaning products, consumables, and other service-related materials.
We recognise that risks of modern slavery can arise in manufacturing, logistics, and labour-intensive sectors. We therefore strive to identify and address these risks, even where we do not have direct control over the activities of third parties.
Supplier Standards and Due Diligence
We expect all suppliers and business partners to comply with our standards on human rights and labour practices. As part of our due diligence processes, we seek to engage with suppliers that can demonstrate robust policies and practices that align with our values.
We require suppliers to confirm that they do not use forced, bonded, or involuntary labour, that employment is freely chosen, and that workers have the right to leave their employment after reasonable notice. We also expect fair wages, safe working conditions, and respect for working hours and rest periods.
Supplier Audits and Monitoring
To reinforce our zero-tolerance stance, Carpet Cleaning N19 is implementing a programme of supplier audits and monitoring activities, proportionate to the level of risk and strategic importance of each supplier. These audits may include requesting documentation, reviewing relevant policies, and asking suppliers to complete modern slavery questionnaires.
Where appropriate and feasible, we may conduct site visits or request evidence of independent third-party audits. Any supplier that fails to meet our standards, or refuses to cooperate with reasonable audit requests, may face remedial action, suspension, or termination of the business relationship.
Training and Awareness
We are committed to raising awareness of modern slavery risks among our staff. Training and guidance will be provided to relevant employees, particularly those involved in procurement, supplier management, and recruitment, so they can recognise indicators of exploitation and know how to respond.
Information on our modern slavery policy will form part of the induction process for new employees and will be periodically reinforced through internal communications and updates.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
Carpet Cleaning N19 encourages any person, whether an employee, contractor, supplier, or member of the public, to raise concerns about potential modern slavery or unethical labour practices connected to our business or supply chains.
Concerns can be raised directly with management or through our internal reporting mechanisms. Reports can be made confidentially, and we will take all reasonable steps to protect individuals who raise concerns in good faith from detrimental treatment or retaliation.
All reports will be taken seriously, reviewed promptly, and, where appropriate, investigated. Where modern slavery is suspected or identified, we will take immediate action, which may include notifying the relevant authorities and working with affected individuals and organisations to address and remediate the situation.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
We recognise that tackling modern slavery is an ongoing process that requires vigilance, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Carpet Cleaning N19 is committed to reviewing this Modern Slavery Statement and our related policies and procedures at least once every year.
The annual review will consider changes in our business, supply chains, legal requirements, and emerging best practice. We will use the findings of audits, investigations, and feedback from stakeholders to strengthen our approach and to set clear objectives for further improvement.
This Modern Slavery Statement has been approved by the management of Carpet Cleaning N19 and will be reviewed and updated annually to ensure it remains accurate, effective, and reflective of our ongoing commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking.
